Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training

Sponsored by The University of Iowa College of Nursing, The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) / Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) workshop is an intensive five-day course to familiarize participants with all aspects of the forensic & health care processes for sexual assault victims. This course, taught by experts in the areas of forensic nursing, law enforcement, advocacy & criminal prosecution, emphasizes the overall importance of the role of the SANE/SAFE and their role in the interdisciplinary Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). 

Registration Fee: $550
Includes the program, materials, luncheons (4 days), morning & afternoon refreshments, & CEU recording. 

Registration Deadline: Friday, April 27, 2018

Course Information: Preconference reading & coursework will be sent out the end of April. The homework is required and will take approximately 6 hours to complete. It will be collected on the first day of the course. 

Location: UIHC, Nursing Clinical Education Center, 4th floor General Hospital
